Day 1: Jun 20th, Monday - A field trip

 

We will leave the main campus of TAU early and travel to see our field site:

Israel is ridiculously hot so bring plenty of water, sun protection gear, hiking boots. and binoculars! 

7:00 Departure from TAU (near gate 2 "Mataita" campus map), and here (on Google maps)

9:00 Gilboa district (Google maps)

10:00 Atlas tagging (lapwings, barn owls?)

11:00 Fishpond bird watching and lapwings

12:30 Lunch

14:00 Visiting a base-station (#7/#9)

14:30 An excursion at Kokhav HaYarden National Park (INPA) ~1.5 km

16:30 A bit more bird watching

17:30 Heading back to TLV

19:30 Expected arrival
